Pudding Anyone???

The other day I was reading on line things that you can do with your toddler and looking for ideas to do during the day, because frankly I sometimes get very stir-crazy if I can't talk to another adult or get out during the day to break up what Nicole calls "It's Yesterday Once Again". Does anyone else get like that? If so, please call me. Chances are that I am feeling the same way. Please don't get me wrong, I LOVE to be at home with my little boy, who is growing up way to fast, but sometimes you need some small thing to brighten your day, or you forget how blessed you are to be able to stay home with your little ones. Enough said, here's the story....

As most of you know I have one picky eater sometimes, especially if it is something new to eat and even if it is sweet. He didn't want to eat his birthday cake, and he didn't want to eat his Valentine cookie, but I have discovered something that he does like to eat and will go at it with full force. Sometimes I will ask Alex if the food is good and he will enthusiastically say, "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM". That is one thing that I do want to get recorded, because he will sometimes be eating and just make little sounds to show me that he is enjoying the food.

Anyway, I was reading online about activities to do with your toddler and I came across pudding painting. Instead of finger painting (which I don't think Alex or I am ready for yet), use pudding to paint. I dabbed a bit on his high chair tray, and this is what happened. Also don't be alarmed at that big orange mass of food on his tray, that is a pile of sweet potatoes. He eventually ate those with a dab of pudding on top of them.

That is so cute! I just had to laugh. It is interesting that he would just go at it with his mouth, but really did not want to get his hands into it. Loved watching this. Thanks for sharing.
Much love, Gramma

He is so darn cute, Degan made me play it back 5 times then I finally told him that was enough. I have really picky eaters too. It is no fun worrying all the time about if they are getting enough nutrients. Tyler is 7 and still is really picky. Good luck. Degan is asking to see it again. Better go!

sometimes i think everyone feels like the days are endless and the same over and over again. especially when babies are really little. i can totally relate to the stir craziness. i think it's just part of being a mom, for better or worse!

How funny! I'm going to have to try your idea to get some "good food" down Brayden. He loves sweets! He might as well enjoy some good food while he's at it.

Thanks for coming over the other day. It was fun to get together. We need to do it more often.

Too funny! He's such a cutie. My girls will get a kick out of this once they get home from school. :) He really is adorable. We loved seeing him last month! We love you guys!

That's how much I like pudding too, how funny. We haven't tried that yet with Andrew, but we should, especially since it was recommended to us by his dietician to help him gain weight. (Yes, it's true, we need prefessional help to pack the pounds on the little boy).

Welcome to motherhood. It's hard to believe that one day your days will be so busy you can hardly think. In the meantime, if you're ever bored, you can come hang out here. I don't promise any Disney productions, but there will be another adult to converse with!!
