Vital Stats for our Kiddos and the Best Job on Earth

Well a few days ago we went in for Alex's (2 yr) and Sarah's (2 month) well visit with our pediatrician.
Here are Alex's stats:
Head size 47 cm (10-25%)
Height 34 inches (25-50%)
Weight 23 lbs. 12 oz. (3-10%)
He is very healthy, but on the slender side.

Here are Sarah's stats:
Head size 38 cm (25-50%)
Height 22 3/4 inches (50-75%)
Weight 10 lbs. 4 oz. (25-50%)
She is doing very well and has a strong appetite.

We have been very blessed to have such wonderful children join our family. I have one of the most tiring jobs in the world, but also the best and most rewarding job too.

More Sarah pictures coming soon!

I am receiving "promptings" (OK, proddings) that I need to post some more pictures of Sarah. Tomorrow's her two month appointment, so I'll be sure to include her stats as well as Alex's.

Top Ten Reasons I Love My Two Year Old

1. Alex has a contagious laugh. I can't help but laugh when I hear him laugh. My heart sings when I hear it.

2. He loves to explore and find out how things around him work. He is always taking in so much with his senses. He is absolutely fearless on the playground.

3. I love how he helps me around the house. His favorite job is to "help" unload the dishwasher, so fast that I can barely keep up! I love how he says, "da doo" (thank you) as he hands me each dish.

4. I love how affectionate he is. He'll even hug the cats (actually by leaning on them and saying "mmmmmmm". He'll even give hugs to the cats in his books.

5. I love how Alex is always ready to go bye-bye (on an errand). He'll grab his shoes, head to the door, and keep saying "bye bye" over and over until you go.

6. I love how Alex and his Daddy play together when Alex is taking a bath. Daddy gets Alex all excited, and Alex drenches the room by splashing the water with his hands, toys and feet.

7. I love his MAGIC EYES. His eyes change color, depending on the lighting. They always light up with he is happy or excited. He also has the most beautiful long eyelashes that he inherited from his Daddy.

8. I love his independent spirit. He will sit quietly and read by himself, or race around the kitchen island with his shopping cart, then come give me a hug, then he's right back at it. It is a joy to see his personality develop.

9. I love how he says Momma all the time. He's sometimes a bit of a Momma's Boy, but it makes me feel wanted and appreciated.

10. I love how he teaches me about patience, unconditional love, enthusiasm, and the love of life every single day. I'm grateful for every moment I have with him. He's growing up so fast, which is hard on a Momma's heart, but I am so proud of him.

Six Weeks with Sarah

I can't believe that it has been six weeks since Sarah has joined our family. During that time all of us have been adjusting to each other. She is a great baby, but when she is upset or hungry she will let you know about it. I love having her in our family and Alex is slowly warming up to her as well. Since so many of our family members are living far away, I am getting requests to see more pictures of her. I love being her mother. While getting up in the middle of the night to feed and take care of her does lead to an interrupted slumber,I still count it a blessing to do those things. Enjoy the pictures of our sweet little Sarah.

Sarah's Blessing Day

Last Sunday we had the opportunity to bless our new daughter Sarah. We had both sets of grandparents and my sister's family in town to participate in the ordinance. It was wonderful to have everyone here that could be here to share in this special moment in our family.
Grandma Stewart made a beautiful blessing dress for Sarah and it was carefully planned out and stitched with so much love. My sister made a beautiful white bracelet for her to wear and Mom Jung gave Sarah a beautiful white sweater to keep her warm. She looked so beautiful and I can't believe how much she has changed in the last few weeks. She is starting to fill out slowly and is such a source of joy in our lives. I am so blessed to have a fantastic, energetic, little boy and an angelic, sweet little girl. Here are a few pictures of Sarah in her beautiful blessing dress and the wonderful doting grandma that made it. Thank you so much Grandma Stewart!
